Arms of an Angel
Left behind in the arms of an angel, My heart still cried out for you. Your footsteps retreated and my heart was shattered. You threw me away, Yet, once again you stand in front of me, Begging for me to “come home.” You do nothing but lie to me, Over and over and over again. You say you love me, But I know you don’t. This is the time I finally say no. This is the time I walk away from YOU. This time, you get to feel how it hurts. The shards of glass that once cut me, Now cut him. The shards of pain and understanding that ravaged me, Now ravage him. He feels the way I once felt. He hurts the way I once hurt. I dont hurt anymore.
