What It's Like To Be Shy (For Those Of You Who Aren't)
It’s being called first to answer a question in class. It’s mentally preparing yourself to say “Here.” The never-ending anxiety. When your lips won’t move so your head has to. Never asking a teacher for help. It’s nail biting and foot tapping. It’s sitting by a person you aren’t familiar with. It’s listening to music blaring in your earphones instead of talking with the people on the bus. It’s playing on your phone at another person’s party. Never being able to eat a supreme and greasy taco in front of people.
