Preditor Watching Prey
Several hours of waiting,
with lots of patience.
Watching you walking,
my anxiety growing.
I line up my shot,
you don't see it coming.
With a movement of my finger,
I could take everything from you.
your family walks around,
coming into sight.
A mom and two babies,
a freezer of dinners for me.
Then my childhood attacks.
memories of my dad,
passing in war when i was young.
I couldn't do that to your family.
I let you go with regret,
With hope that you live,
hope your family never goes without you.
