Soul Searching
"You have such a beautiful soul."
This is what you told me as we laid beside we each other bare-skinned. You loved me not only for my physical features but you love me for all that I am, and you accept all that I have been. Even at my worst your flattery skills are impeccable, your words are unrealistic and almost scripted-seeming. Crystal blue irises in case dilated pupils. Sandy blond hair swipes slightly to the side to perfectly frame your features. Your hands fit into every curve of my body like a skeleton key, almost like God shaped me just for you. You say I have a beautiful soul but I ponder the possibility that you're seeing your own reflection in my dull hazel eyes.
