remember to water your trees
the roots of my tree have stopped growing.
no longer is water flowing into my tree and
keeping it alive.
no longer are the leaves changing color
for they have all since wilted.
no longer do people stop to stare at its
enormous potential
because who would want to look at something
so dull and lifeless?
i no longer have the determination to keep
my tree watered,
because i have lost all hope in it ever
coming back to life.
the roots are shriveled,
the leaves have fallen.
whats the point in taking care of it
if there is nothing to care about?
if only there was someone
or something
that could bring my respect back to
the tree
so i could help it thrive
once more.
