I am from driving four hours, to get to my cabin.
From getting up to the cabin at 11:30 at night, and being sleep that we'd lie down and fall asleep.
I am from waking up, to go out on the water.
From riding the bumpy waves on my wakeboard across the blue lake.
I am from the waves crashing into the shore and the boat rocking me to sleep.

I am from going down to my dad's work at Boucher,
and visiting him during the day with my mother.
From him coming home late,
I wouldn't ever get to see him.

I am from my cousin Cody living with us,
and being an older brother.
From my younger cousin Kassy staying with us
that she was like my sister.
I am from adopting Isabela, a sister older than me.
From spending time with my cousins that we can convince people we're a family of nine, when we're a family of seven.

I am from a house with three acres of land.
From playing games of hide and go seek for hours because we couldn't find the other people playing.
I am from having a pool put in the backyard because me and my sister complained about the summer heat.
From swimming until skin turned wrinkly.

I am from standing on the beach looking out at the water and forest of trees in the distance.
From the sun setting in the evening sky making the water sparkle and glitter, the sound of peace and serenity surrounding me,  as the waves slowly come crashing to the shoreline.
