People continue to trivialize the human condition
Non violence is not the only way people respond
When put in a compromising position
Why is it a riot and not an up rise?
Is it because riot carries a heavier sense of violence in your eyes
Or maybe because it is black dudes and not a bunch of white guys
So why when whites do the same when their favorite sports team wins or loses
Words like thugs, riots are not part of the vocabulary usage

Like when the Duke blue devils won their last championship
News anchors were like “Revelers are everywhere”
Like who still uses that word
Flipping and burning cars
Students are tossing chairs at community bars
Not once did you hear the words
Riot or the word thug
Or see a white mother punching her son in the face
Trying to save her son out of love

As many churches remain silent and scared to speak out
They forgot what Jesus got mad at the market and temple
He went in with a whip
Chairs and tables
He whips
All up in his own home
Yet, you still question why I destroy
Where I live
What am I suppose to do?
Go to the suburbs
And destroy Bill & Mary’s 4 bedroom house, 2 car garage and white picket fence
Exactly
We will really see things get out of hand
And things will get hella tense

People are sick and tired of being sick and tired
Well what about Black on Black crime?
Where are the protests for them people at?
When black people kill black people
We go to jail hella fast
And there are protests on blacks who kill blacks
But those blacks are not the ones who are paid to protect and serve us
It is just another ploy to avoid the brutality that is being enforce
So it is easier to get angry at me for pulling up the race card
Or simply bring it up of course

This problem is a lot more
Than Ferguson or B-More
But a call for us to stand
And BE MORE
As soon as I said the word Hash tag
Just know my life is just as important
As the office flashing a badge
My life is just as important
As the soldier defending our flag
My life is just as important
As the white students that got shot up in the elementary class
My life really matters
So much more than a hash tag
