Through All Rhyme and Space 9
A strange man's voice
calling in the dark,
My name shatters the air
ringing like a thousand bells,
He grabs my hand and
leans in close,
Run he says,
Run
A million footsteps we leave behind,
The meager blue outside
shames what lies within,
The greater expanse
made of dreams and tears,
Forward and back
he leaves his imprint,
His signature stains clocks,
But people forget,
Forget the man who was too
a lonely little boy
scared of his shadow,
Still is he scared,
Still is he lonely.
