I Cannot Sleep; Neither Can Peep
It’s
11:32 and
I cannot sleep
I close my eyes
And count sheep
But in the midst
Of jumping clouds
I see a man
All dressed in shrouds
He beckons me to come near
But I am choked o’re by fear
I start to leave and crack a lid
But then I see
A little
Kid
She’s all dolled up in frills and pink
Right then, my heart begins to sink
Her eyes are dull
While mine are full
And tears
Begin to leak
When I come closer
To take a peek
She’s all made up
Just like a doll
But
While her heels are tall
And her dress
Fit for a ball
Her eyes;
They have no soul
It seems that death
Is her goal
Little Bow Peep
Starts to weep
And her sheep begin
To disappear
One by one
As I leer
The man of shrouds
Took the clouds
And
My little
Bow Peep
Was lost
Among
Her sheep
