My Love
When I was searching for the horizon
I happened across you,
stumbling
I found the sunrise beautiful;
witnessing, the first
the unfound hopeful in the Earth.
Although my words were the void smell of long ago stones
unturned,
I knew you long ago
before I spoke with you
perhaps that's why silence masks fear
in your presence;
And I am not real
here with you.
What's quiet, they say, has a problem,
but I am lucky the sound has subsided with you.
I can only see you
I can only hear you
as the world passes in transient worry,
hating itself and both loving to be cruel to its inhabitants.
When I see the horizon I see
you rising with the sun.
Im sorry I can't say things with my lips.
All this time
I've been calling to you with my heart.
