The Caged Bird Sings
A beautiful sound is carried by the breeze,
a crying bleeding song of the soul.
The caged bird sings,
for it cannot spread its wings,
nor over the great seas soar.
A rumbling fills the sky,
and the dark clouds drift near.
The caged bird sings,
for it cannot spread its wings
to escape the stormy fear.
The wind howls along with the song,
ribbons of lightning dance across the sky.
The caged bird sings,
for it can now spread its wings,
and is free to fly.
