This is Summer
School’s finally out
Long nights roll in
Those days with friends
Never seeming to end
You add on to
Your laugh lines
And try so hard
To hold the feeling
Everything gets exciting
When that night shows up
There’s fire in the sky
And a glow on your neck
If you see the water
You’ll never wait
To get that suit on
You just jump in
You’re breaking the rules
Running around
But you feel so free
Living with no worries
Soak up the warmth
Just enjoy the sun
Because summer only
Comes but once a year
