A Question About Death
when you laid in that bathtub of red
enough for your small body to think
it was a metallic smelling ocean
wrists sharp and maimed
blue veins in your sickly pale breasts
revealing themselves
when the pain stopped ringing in your ears
when the silence of the room stilled
your fragile fleshy heart
did the world become darkness
or was your blood replaced with light?
