"Kaleidoscope Heart"
Glares reflect on my face.
They are swallowed through my skin.
They reach deep into my body, strangling my heart.
I gasp for air, but she won't let me.
He stands in the corner, unable to do anything.
Sorrow and longing lives in his eyes.
I can see him from here.
My heart needs his friendship.
My heart needs the long nights spent talking.
It needs my best friend.
But she won't let him go.
She continues to torture him.
And I continue to lie behind his back.
I tell myself that he's just my best friend,
While my heart keeps whispering,
"He's the one."

This is another poem from my friend's point-of-view. The words in this were some of the phrases that she used to describe the situation. I hope you enjoy.
