They Follow Through
I am only myself
I have a double tongue
which I am slowly beginning to lose
My mind is perpendicular
my thoughts always follow through
Although my outs and ins tend to differ
the generality of my being remains the same
My scarves flow with color and individuality
The sum of my experiences
do not equal me
My fears do not define me
yet they always follow through
This piece is about life, how everyone has their own personal ups and downs, how people change throughout life, but they're still who they were and who they will always be. Most importantly, it's about not stressing about being who others see you as or who others want you to be but only who you are.
