A Mutual Attraction
We will all have that person
Whether we have already met them
Or expect to in the near future
The one who has our attention.
Who has captured our eyes with
Their every move and revels in it.
And we have theirs
When we know that the petty Feelings
are there and we yearn to be together
Unspoken words of mutual attraction
When nothing happens but everything
Is splayed out for the world to see
But neither ready for the leap
When obstacles are in the way and
There is no way for you to be together.
The disappointment there but covered underneath swarths of the fabric
Of attraction. Chemicals in the brain yearn to be released. To escape into
The world and unite with the others. When you can feel the rhythmic
Pulsing of feelings underneath feeble layers of skin. Yearning to tear
Through tissue and muscle in a grotesque display of affection for
This one person who has captured your attention.
But that is all that it is.
A Mutual Attraction.
