Angels and Devils
I live in a corrupt heaven, where devils lie their way inside
and angels are victims of self abuse
Impossible not to be weighed down by injustice
their optimism is replaced by its nemesis
Big dreams are replaced by realistic admissions
that their chances are slim
So the angels cease their attempts at flight
not because the have forgotten
but because they are scared of failing
For failure means a life permanently glued to the ground
Then there are the devils
who feed off of society’s chaos
and strive to create more
whenever the situation arises
They have few boundaries
and justify their actions through
weak accusations and
mislead thoughts
So be weary
of the hatred filled devils
But be attentive
to the struggling angels
If hope dies within them
then all hope
has truly been lost
for our society
