Moonlight Singing
In deep darkness
The stars
Say
Hello
And the moonlight sings
On water bright.
Where did the day go?
The sun is lost
And yet I am too
In the night.
In gray dawn air
The stars
Say
Goodbye
And the sunlight chases
The shadows away.
The day has appeared
The sun is found
Yet I am not
In the day.
And the days and nights
Pass by too fast
And I spend them,
Worrying
About what comes next.
And suddenly here I am,
Aged and frail,
And I've wasted my time
Waiting,
And not doing.
How I regret my day spent.
How I wish I could've changed the past.
And deep darkness cloaks my eyes.
The stars
Say
Goodbye
And so do I.
The moonlight sings
Yet I do not.
Never again.

This kind of came out of the top of my head. This is my first published work on Teen Ink, so I hope you like it!
