"You know what "Normal" is? A setting on a washing machine. No one wants to be that." - Ashley Purdy from the band Black Veil Brides said that and I am going to keep using this quote.

There is a thing that everyone wears to hide something that they don’t others to know about.
It’s like a cloche so no one can see it.
In other words a mask.
A mask that could hide a thousand pains and feelings that you have that you don’t want no one to see.
A mask that hides emotions and scars from the past.
It hides what you don’t like.
It hides what you fear most.
The fear of people not liking you, the fear that people will not accept you for who you are.
The fear of not being good enough.
The mask that keeps you in the dark so that way you aren’t the center of attention.
So that way people won’t be able to stare at you and point and laugh, so that way you feel safe in your own little world that you created.
What is the mask?
It’s simple.
It’s something that everyone has, it’s something that everyone uses to make other people not worry about them.
It’s a smile.

It's just something that I do sometimes when I feel down. I want to be able to hide the pain from other people. I notest that a lot of people do it as well too.

I agree. Sometimes, the scarred hide their pain and suffering behind a mask… and assume a persona to exact their revenge upon a world that wronged them. Or sometimes to cover up who a person REALLY is.
