Late Country Night
I feel at peace,
With the water, earth, and sky.
To all my negativity,
I must say good-bye.
For I can’t dwell on the pain,
And suffering of the past.
My new found freedom,
Is finally in my grasp.
I will enjoy my life,
Within the light of the moon.
Enjoying the sunsets,
As late night flowers bloom.
A sapphire petal bud,
Opens with midnight’s hour.
Only to reveal,
The beauty of its flower.
The wind howls like,
The wolves within the woods.
The country is my home,
The stars are my inner good.
My inner harmony,
Has reached a new high.
This is my reason,
To ignore the world’s lie.
