"There is no such thing as impossible, the word itself says I'm possible."

Perfection is like smoke
Slipping through our fingers
Making us choke
Yet the longing lingers.
It’s impossible to catch
Yet to this idea we latch
And so hard we try
To fit in a box
So we’re not pushed into rocks
And to ourselves we lie.
The world is so obsessed
With this notion
That we act possessed
Trying to go through the motions.
Perfection is a fantasy
That’s driven by lunacy
Pushing us to the brink
Faster than your eyes can blink.
Perfection is nothing but smokescreens and mirrors.
Couldn’t anything be clearer?
Perfection is like smoke
Making us choke.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

Your poem is absolutely, beautiful! And breath-taking too. It's filled with truth and beauty and honesty and rawness.    And sadly, this is true, I think. The world is rather obsessed with the notion of being perfect. The only way I can explain myself is that the world wants everything to be perfect for most of the world wants control. At least, there's still hope.    You have such a talent and greatness and light and beauty in you, and you are a wonderful and talent and beautiful writer and person. And so, so much more.    Thank you so much, my friend! For sharing this. :)
