It's Friday night, and I've got a game;
We play the Falcons, my best friend's team.
    My uniform's on, and my drum is ready;
It's only 5 o'clock, and Mr. Flowers says
We leave at 6:30 on the dot.
Tonight's our first game
I'm fast in my new shoes
My glove's broken-in
My helmet is polished
Pre-game was a lot of fun
But the game is not done
The cool breeze of an August night
The wool suits keeping us warm,
‘Crash’, the cymbals started playing in the stands
‘BOOM’, the basses started in
At the end of one, we were trailing 17-14
The smell of popcorn and hot dogs
People screaming at the refs
And the blowing of the whistle
Oh the sounds of football
    By the end of the second we trail 28-24
Half time was a blast
We started to play again
The fans yell again
By the end of the third we are leading 34-28
The crowd actually cheering
We are winning.
‘Crack’ the helmets collided for the last play.
Crowd counting down
10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Crowd started to roar
         WE HAVE WON!!!!
We won 44-35 and the game was done at last.
The busses on the way back to the school
Band day was fun.
