Remembering 9/11
What were you doing when the world stopped turning that September day?
When every station on TV became focused on the Twin Towers
Two Towers that suddenly crumbled like sandcastles
Forcing the world into a state of confusion
Filled with an endless amount of unanswered questions
An incident that was caused by 19 belligerent militants
In four different planes
So many brave souls were called into rescue
Putting aside the fear of what could happen next
People were scattering like seeds in the wind
Panicking as the Towers crumbled near them
They fought to avoid the thick black smoke from the explosions
Desperately seeking a safe haven
Wondering when all of their questions would be answered
Still in complete shock that such a tragic act could take place
Contemplating how many of them were caught up in this disaster
Pondering if their loved ones were safe
Lives of many taken way too soon
A tragedy that would forever tear apart families
A day that would forever change the United States
Never forget 9/11
