Lady Luck
Clear raindrops fall,
Much bigger than I.
As I skitter for safety,
Fearing I’d get hit.
Sounds of water dropping fill my ears,
Shiny red reflections surround me… mocking me!
Black spots keep me in my shell,
Could I have been born beautiful,
Lived a different life?
I felt alone... mostly forgotten.
Being small made traveling difficult.
From a distance, I could see warm homes filled with love.
Children ready to discover me,
Young hands to cradle me.
Bringing me good luck.

What inspired me to write this was as i sat on my bed trying to think of what to write i saw a little lady bug walk across my bed. Growing up i was terrified of them but now i see their true beauty.
