Fear not weakness
You were scared,
Your body full of fear.
Time became prolonged,
And your mind went blank.
Your words broken,
Your breath struggling to escape,
But you froze.
Your words grew faint ‘til no more they came.
And you became tense,
No reaction but tears.
But it wasn’t weakness,
It was fear.
You were alone,
And scared.
but move? you didn’t dare.
You could feel and hear his breath.
A dreadful memory.
But you froze,
There was nowhere to go.
And out there,
Stood more danger.
You whimpered.
No reaction but tears.
But it wasn’t weakness,
It was fear.
And with time it won’t fade,
You will remember it like yesterday.
But you live with a false smile,
‘cause you mustn’t cry,
Or it’ll be taken as weakness,
Not fear.
