I remember the days,

              When I just sat

            in the bright lights

               Flash and color 

              blinding my eyes

        I always bowed my head

      The punch bowl was flooded

              and I'm all alone

           Figures and gestures

                    wave by

     Leave me be, but I don't mind

My head hurts, and my eyes and ears

                aching to go

               Offer a drink?

                    A talk?

                I need a walk

         Away from these people

           I'm not an extrovert

             But I don't mind.
