Unto a beating heart...
A sonnet unsung
A work undone
To find the words to speak par none
To see a sunrise & fine not a line to write,
To see crystal snow & not draw tears
To see your face & not see radiant light
Such a feat cannot be done
For when I see you a sonnet demands to be sung
A poem will dance from the tip of my tongue,
& to see your face is inspiration enough,
To write a line for a sunrise tenfold
& a sunset ten more
A muse unspoken
A story not noted
To find you a song
A symbol
A token…
To find a favor to grant you to say
“For years to come together we’ll stay”
& so a beating heart sighs to love…

This poem is dedicated to a woman whom I have deeply entrusted my heart & soul unto, she is my rising sun & setting moon, & forever she shall remain my muse, is she ever finds this poem I’d like to let you know, “My heart beats for you” ….Rachel
