Let Love Grow
Dedicated to my uncles
And all those persecuted for being in love
I
You have no right to get married
Demons crawl in your twisted soul
The devil rules your demented mind
Leave this church
Before your disease infects our pure bodies
You cannot say you love him
Be a man
Go love a girl
Like real men do
You are a mistake
God never meant to create
A sinner like you
Go fix yourself
Or be dragged to hell
To pay for
Your unforgivable sin
You can change yourself
No one is born this way
Don’t lie
You are a disgrace to humanity
I disown you
You are not my child
II
Let us speak
For those whose voices
Have been silenced
Love is love
It is sprinkled in the songs of birds
Pulls the sun over the dewy horizon
Floods all of humanity with pure waters of joy
Sends miraculous comets across the night sky
Seeds of love are planted in our spirits
We water them
So they may sink their roots
In the souls
Of our brothers and sisters
Realizing this is only a matter of
Letting the flowers grow
