Homeless
You were the safeness
That ran through my veins
Begging me to hold on
And grab ahold of the reins
You were the comfort
Of a home, sweet home
Telling me that loneliness
Never means I'm truly alone
You were the security
That allowed me to sleep at night
Whispering in my dreams
And gently holding me tight
But when such happiness
Is deprived from my heart
I may trip and fall over love
And slowly tear myself apart
As extinguishing the happiness
And feeling of belonging somewhere
May be the hardest emotion
That my mind may share
For losing my other half
Causes me to be homeless
And have all the joys of life
Be forever gone and missed
