The Flower of the East
Starting like a seed,
Small as a speck.
She told herself,
"A person's a person no matter how small."
As dirt slowly shifts
She started to sprout.
One, out of a million,
In a beautiful beds of flowers,
Blossoming the brightest.
A blooming indian sunflower in all different shades.
Always changing,
Just like life...
Winter wilts
Her wrinkled petals
Beauty fades.
Waiting for April's sunny soil.
