Metal Fingers

October 12, 2014

the narrow smile has been stretched

along the child’s laminated face.

feet, clownish on the grounds they walk

uneasy on.

he heard them talking to each other

in the tongue of shrieks

into the sea of his ancient pains.

the sun turned black the day his heart did.

the flashing remarks sounded like

police sirens below his criminal skin

beyond the mirrors,

beneath the skin

the blood runs thin.

the eager stroke of metal fingertips along his skin.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

This ... is just absolutely, amazing. It's so intense and just beautiful. It's phenomenal. I can feel the emotion and the rawness, it's just there. You put yourself into it, when you wrote it; you put your soul into it. This is just perfect. I think thsi should be published. It just has so much, in it. Emotion. Rawness. Talent. Beauty. I could even hear the screeching of the metal fingers in my ears, and it made my fingers tingle. Haha, this is just, absolutely wonderful. You really do, have such a talent and greatness and light in you. You are na amazing and wonderful and talented writer and person. It's just, so true. Thank you so much, my friend! For sharing this. Thank so much, again! :)
