Crazy people
in a messed up world
trapped in an institution
with no clue on what they’re doing
one has slits up her arm,
one wants to cause everyone harm.
One couldn’t take his life no more
so he tried to slam his head against the tile floor.
This one girl gets higher then the sun
and shes not allowed out until shes sobered up.
Then there is a quiet shy boy,
who no one knows what he’s here for.
Then there is me,
with all of the above,
and feels as though
I’ll never be good enough.
But I got out of that place,
with new numbers
and knowing new faces.
The cuts on my arm are fading,
my anger is lessening,
my suicidal thoughts come and go,
and I haven’t touched pills
since the day before I went into that s*** hole.
I wish I could say the same for all the friends I made
but the first girl ended up back there
and the boy behind bars
the other finally ended his life last night,
they didn’t find him in time.
The last girls’ on the streets,
I saw her a few weeks back
Kinda zoning in and out, she was so skinny she could fall through cracks
The shy quiet boy
well, they found her was there from bullying.
Well, those bullies finally one
since they found him in the river, not moving.
I wish I could’ve helped them
Its not like I didn’t try.
But friendship can only go so far
If you reach out you’ll get help
but, you can only save yourself my loves,
but some people never get that far.
