Premature Future
Realization
I Realized the truth
Synchronization
My mind and heart too
and my heart beats, beats, beats
and my mind clicks, clicks, clicks
and my soul weeps,weeps,weeps
and the clock ticks, ticks, and ticks
the time and mine flying away
my fingers shift, my eyes open
my body still, my lips frozen
The shock shakes me, I cannot be relieved
after realizing that which I do not wish to believe
Footsteps closing in on me
my heart beats more quickly
echoing within my mind
wondering why I had not seen the signs
my eyes close slowly, my forehead cries
from nervousness and so by surprise
Feeling the presence of a premature one
The one's aura of a time that should of had yet to begun
And with the fearful un-shielding of frightened eyes
a feeling of slight relief, great fear, and surprise
because along with the un-shielding and in a gleam
I awoke from my nightmarish dream
Though being awake was as well as being asleep
For, for the rest of the day my heart kept its leap
My calm lips still cold and short in breadth
and my slow eyes seemed to circumspect
The world around was permanently morphed
and my heart and soul similarly distort
They say a bright future's yet to come
Though ecstatic I feel it to be quite fearsome

I wrote this poem a year and a half ago in an inmmediate response to a dream I had had the night before. It was a moment of epiphany for me
