Creature Feet

Hush my dears,
they’re coming near,
creak creak creak,
the noise be creature feet upon the wooden stairs,
quiet now,
the creature shrieks,
the pounding of the creature feet,
i hear them there
upon the stair,
quiet now,
we musn’t fear,
but the creatures there,
are big and hairy,
wirey and scary,
i fear their claws come close,
so back up and stay away,
out of sight,
in the dark,
just hush my dears,
the creature feet are leaving,
they scurry away,
leaving behind a chorus of….
Trick or treat!
