Season Changes
Once a great leader,
Growing high and mighty,
Was taken by a large beast.
Colors started to fade,
As the jungle enclosed him
In a maze.
Lazy leaves surrounded his feet,
Brittle branches began to break.
Soon,
April sunlight warmed the cool wind.
His fierce soul could breathe again,
Reminders of summer roots,
While his beauty stifles the beast again.
