Black Op Kid
I’m from silence and tranquility,
to be broken by relationship,
I’m from an atomic family but not nuclear,
able to deflect the talk and spit and turn it into positive like if I am excelsior’s son.
I’m from childess ideologies without acknowledgments,
making my own rewards in my own head in my own world
I am from silent rustling of plastic pieces that stick to each other,
able to form and create with my nickelodeon imagination.
I am from a jar stuck to a stick that layed alone in a field,
able to reach far and pick up water infested with little black friends,
I am from self-proclaimed wise men with quotes,
storing the ones that did not come with a rhythm in the back of my mind
From “some things are better off not knowing”
too scared to face the reality so it’s pushed to the virtual realm,
From aspiring child to obedient adult out of the haze of life in one day,
changing to be a better person than the one yesterday
taking criticism and to speak when spoken to.
From a sound proof barrier that is cracked by the pickaxes swung
by friends and family to reveal the sounds entombed behind.
