Where I'm From
I am from a space of opportunity in my backyard, from lake adventure. Tubing rides, Skiing, Lake tours.
I am from the the house of change.
I am from the bright green grass that I would run around in, the crocs I would squeak in and the sunset to end the night.
I am from delicious family dinners and caring meetings, from Pete and Darcy and McCormick.
I am from the stormy nights and sunny mornings.
From “You’re slower than grandma on Sundays.”, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” and “If your friend jumped off a cliff would you do it?”
I am from the teachings of God and from Catholic schools.
I'm from Sunday mass, from praying and singing.
From the time I went to Florida and discovered my thrill for adventure, the moment I swam in the ocean, to the time I drove an ATV around the jungle.
I am from open land, all of it is for me to make history.
