Watching
I’m watching you.
While you’re fast asleep,
I stand at the foot of your bed.
I count every breath you take,
Every breath I ALLOW you to take.
Every night I sneak in your room and I watch,
And I wait.
I wait for the moment when you will realize I am here.
I wait for the moment when you will wake up suddenly.
When you will search the darkness,
But you cannot see me
Because I am hidden
And as soon as you lay back down
After you convince yourself it was only the wind
I will watch some more
