The Path
I walk down the path with no light to guide me.
I stare at the questions that fall before me.
My body trembles with exhaustion.
My mind spins from utter confusion.
I walk in circles, never finding the answer.
Dead ends stop me, tricks and traps delay me.
A man talks in the background.
I hear nothing.
I see nothing.
I understand nothing.
My tools disappear from my hand, snatched by another.
They were of no use anyway.
If I had listened, I could still be alive.
A clock appears before me, it shows that it is 9:05.
I come to a stop. My journey is done. It ended as abruptly as it had begun.
Now all that’s left is to pray for success.
That is the story of my math test.
