I am ashamed of myself
for becoming
one of "them"-
allowing myself to
dwindle away-
my soul cascading into
an abyss of emptiness-
technological advancements
destroying the idea of effort
that fills our minds-
leaving behind a hollow,
unintelligent lump of organs
without contribution
of meaning in our-
inevitably-
meaningless lives-
we must cease
to change worlds-
for all we do is consume them-
we must begin
to lift hearts-
for if all of life
is being hurtled towards oblivion
we must make the best of Love
before it, too,
is devoured by this
epidemic of emptiness
