Passion
Once thou was a friend so dear,
Where to have thou disappeared
When I needed thou here
In my heart, can thou not hear?
Passion, where art thou?
Wherefore have thou forsaken me?
In this sea of nothingness I can only see
My foolish self, unpregnant of cause and full of sorrow.
What is it that I live for?
With a soul so full of thoughts,
A mind so full of dreams,
And a heart so weak.
Bleak is the future, dull is today
Tomorrow’s unknown, another yesterday
Will dreams come true, will promises kept?
Or will it be another day that I accept?
Passion, O Passion, thou art cruel
Given me a dream, then suddenly thou pull
Away from me, leaving me a fool
Believing in tomorrow, with time as a tool.
