If You Could See Me Now
If you could see me now,
What would you say I look like?
Do I look like a lost soldier
Or do I look like I have lost my life?
If you could talk to me now,
What would you say to me?
Would you lie, ‘It’ll be okay’
Or would you say, ‘There’s another life to dream.’
Do you think I’ll have
What I’d always wanted to get?
Or do you think I have lost,
And there’s nothing left to be said.
The sky is too high to reach,
The ground is too near to fall.
The birds too less to be,
Failure chances more.
Do you think I can start again
And forget all about my pain?
Or would you rather I quit this life,
And start all over in the next game?
If you could see me now,
Would you ask me to stop?
Or would you later tell your friends,
‘She was another girl I used to know.’
