Negro
We've come a long way over the years and it wasn't easy. Years ago, we worked in fields from sun up to sun down... picking cotton, taking care of the plantation owners' kids, cooking and cleaning... but get so much as a " thank you negro". Slavery was hard times. Being under the white man's command every second, every minute, every hour, everyday. Being publicly humiliated, beaten half to death, ridiculed... our black sisters... raped of their innocence. One wrong move, a harsh beating came our way. A whip tearing at their flesh... blood, sweat, and tears. The cries of many women and children being beaten, the fear in their eyes, the tears of pain streams down their faces. What did they do so wrong to deserve this?
