The Lone Wolf

Solemn and grey
and swift in the night
scary and strong
with a howl full of fright
The never ending chase
of its favorite kind of prey
seeking, searching
day after day
hunger on its lips
and its growl diminished
it snaps and snarls
at a fast never finished
The days he has left
he counts very slowly
as a lone wolf,
the only wolves glowing
