Addicted To You
I got addicted to you
The same way a smoker
Gets addicted to nicotine
I craved the bitter taste
Of you on my lips
And the way you leaned in
I yearned for the smell
Of your exhaling breath
As you got rid of all the pain
And I missed having you
To turn to during tough times
When I couldn't stand the rain
I thought about quitting once
And giving up on us
But it's too late; I'm addicted
The world can see our love
As some hateful crime
But it's okay to feel conflicted
My mind is already stale
For it's too late to save myself
And I truly mean it
All because I got addicted to you
The same way a smoker
Gets addicted to nicotine
