4th of July
and if it wasn’t for you, I might have never known what happiness was.
when you hold my hand I forget about how broken I am inside
all I see is a bright future
you’re the north star lighting the way
and when you kiss me, it’s like the 4th of July (which is my favorite holiday by the way)
nothing but fireworks
you make me laugh and I forget about all of the times I have cried
over things that do not pertain to me any longer
I watch as you smile and it’s the best feeling
knowing that I am the reason for it
and when it’s time to go home, a little part of me dies
because you’re my home now, I never want to leave
