Where the wind sings
The wind whistles west
In the gloom of the glowing crest
It sings sweet songs
Long gone tunes
It carries with it
Leaves,
Crinkled and dead
The ashes,
And the fumes
It spreads its breath
With long even strokes
Dusting soft valleys
Yellowed by virgin snow
Along the shores of beach,
Rotting with the stink of salt
Over mountain peaks,
Where daylight will soon find its break
No beginning
And no end
Just,
The wind.
