Green Leaves
I guess she's your puzzle piece
in a way that I can't be so I hope
she completes you like flowers
that bloom on trees in the spring
And you shake her off like burnt autumn leaves
Dead, abandoned
and alone in the loam
like you left me
so often
before
green leaves rustling
like the cry of a young bird
hungry for recognition,
demanding to be heard.
