What's a poem?
Wanna know what a poem is?
A bunch of words strung together
Awkward stare of that girl
With the deep blue eyes
That guy in the back whispering
"That's deep"
A manifestation of ones desires
Spirit to mind and pencil to paper
I don't know how to feel
I wasn't born with a heart
No thoughts of where I'll go
Just the need for another
To hold me from the start
The sound it makes
Crawling from thin lips
The way it shakes
Lying in forgotten crypts
I wish the rivers of my arms
Would stop their flow
Pecking away at my insides
This smelly crow
But his belly is bigger than mine
And the hunger is all that I know
What do you hear
As I tell you my life story
Filled with fear
Not enough glory?
Maybe a few more tears?
Or is it just the passing of the wind
Like solid snake
I'm infiltrating your base
Tying your brain like lace
As I look in your face
With that old man stare
Empty and bare
Now you tell me what's fair.
For someone old
To have such grace
I'm too young to feel so cold
But who am I to know
I don't have The GLOW
Just some kid with a fro
