Me and You
She clutches the bottle of pills
And pours them in her hand
I imagine her head, back it tilts
As she downs then on command
I cry and scream and yell and shout
Tears are streaming down my face
If only I'd been there, I'd have made her spit them out
I was only a floor away
I fall to the ground and hoarsely cry
I pray to the Lord and call to the skies
"Please,please don't let her die!"
But yet again I don't hear a reply
I sit on the ground and silently weep
My world stops
Going 'round
As I slowly fall asleep
When I wake, I pray
That it was just dream
But my hope fades
As he says he knew nothing of her misery
I prayed to You every meal
But I guess You didn't hear
So I ask You "Hey, whats the deal?
Do You even care?"
My faith in You is fading
But I'm trying to stay strong
Everyone is raving
And it just seems so wrong
My life will never be the same
She's gone now and there's nothing I can do
I tell myself You're not to blame
As I work on the relationship between me and You
